Yamato Masaki

Masaki Yamato, a manga artist hailing from Yamato Town (now Minamiuonuma City) in Minamiuonuma District, Niigata Prefecture, adopted a pen name reflecting his birthplace. Initially, he primarily published works in shonen manga magazines under the name Masaharu Kojima, but he expanded his activities to seinen magazines after releasing his breakthrough work, "Agechau! Jokyoshi," in "Play Comic." Following this transition, he continued to achieve success with representative works like "Papa wa Oomono!" in seinen magazines, alongside his shonen series "Miageta Tamasaburo."
