Chuushinguranousuke

Chushingura is the common name for "Kanadehon Chushingura," a ningyo joruri (bunraku) and kabuki play that premiered in Osaka in 1748. It is a work of fiction based on the Akō Incident of the Edo period, specifically the sword attack perpetrated by Asano Naganori, lord of the Akō Domain, within Edo Castle. To accommodate the Edo shogunate, the depiction in Chushingura differs in parts from the historical Akō Incident.
