Equal

Equal is a Japanese music unit, often referring to a solo singer-songwriter (SSW) but sometimes taking the form of a band. Since the 2000s, there has been an increasing trend for units to be formed for specific events. In particular, it is not uncommon for film studios or anime production companies to take the lead in forming such units to create theme songs for their films or anime.
